Water loss through the heat pump or water heater: What to do?

Water loss through the heat pump or water heater: What to do?

Appearances can be deceiving. When a pipe leaks, you might think that the pool is going to drain drop by drop. Don't worry. It is possible that the heat pump has been running for a few hours and the water level is not moving. So where is this water coming from? Everything has been screwed in properly, everything is working fine and then suddenly water starts flowing. It is probably not water from the pool, but the result of condensation. Several factors can cause condensation on the heat pump. It is used to heat water, and therefore causes differences in temperatures. Cool night and morning temperatures are often the reason for this phenomenon. Outdoor humidity also plays a role.

The only way to be really sure is to do a test with strips. If traces of cleaning agents such as chlorine or salt are found in the dripping water, this means that it is the pool water. A technician should then be called in to fix the leak. Otherwise, it is the result of condensation, and there is no need to worry.
